Abstract | ABSTRACTED FROM THE OVERVIEW: The goal of these four case studies is to document the different ways that poor people in Cambodia lose access to land. As individual case studies, they cannot show how frequent or widespread each mechanism of loss is; therefore they should be read in conjunction with the CLSP bibliographic review "Where has all the land gone" and the analysis of the CLSP land abuse database (forthcoming). However, it is hoped that describing in detail the different ways that poor people lose access to land will increase our understanding of how and why such loss occurs, and thereby provide a focus for advocacy, training, and policy discussion. |
